September 7: Canadian Seafood Mission
CanCham Malaysia was pleased to support the Canadian Seafood Mission at Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia (Sunway), bringing together Canadian seafood companies, Malaysian businesses and industry representatives for a day of market insights, knowledge sharing and meaningful B2B connections. From discussions on Malaysian business culture and market opportunities to one-on-one B2B meetings and a live seafood tasting demonstration, the event created opportunities for Canadian and Malaysian businesses to connect and explore potential collaborations.
14 July: Interchamber Canada Day
CanCham Malaysia celebrated Canada’s birthday (July 1) with an Interchamber Canada Day event with the participation of the Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC), Malaysia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce, SwedCham Malaysia, Irish Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (ICCM), Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC)

May 17 to 31: Concordia University Field School visit
Mechanical engineering students from Montreal, Canada’s Concordia University traveled to Malaysia in May as part of the institution’s Malaysia Field School designed to help them explore the future of safety engineering by combining proven system safety methods with cutting-edge AI technologies in an aerospace engineering environment. The trip combined lectures provided by local UniKL faculty with site visits to aerospace firms and city tours.
February 12: JS-SEZ Forum
As part of the Canada-in-Asia Conference (CIAC) the Johor Bahru-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) Forum held on 12 February 2026 gave conference participants the opportunity to learn firsthand about investment-ready insfrastructure, regulatory alignment, and regional trade dynamics affecting the SEZ.
