Roger Poulin
Profile : Roger Poulin is an Architect who owned his own Architectural firm in Canada and eventually came to Malaysia back in 1997, just prior to the economic crisis. Roger has worked in the Malaysian and SE Asian markets, where he brings more than 35 years of Construction, Design and Project Management experience. Roger presently owns and manages Visionary Zone, where he is supporting the architectural community in Design and Development of projects, as well as Design and Project Management services for multi-national corporations. More recently, Roger in collaboration with RPM, was the Employer’s Representative for HSBC, the largest global bank in the world to deliver their Malaysian Headquarters with the development of a Smart/Environmental Building in Malaysia’s Tun Razak Exchange, with a LEED – Gold Designation. The project is more than 1,000,000 Square Feet. This past year, the project won two sustainability awards under the Malaysian Green Building Council as well as from the World Green Building Council. Roger has also worked on the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL), carrying out Design Management Services for the 19 acre school project during the pre-construction stage, attaining Platinum Green Building Index (GBI) status, adopting new technologies never used in Malaysia. With just as much importance, Roger also works on smaller projects, such as residential homes as well as home and office renovations, with the same commitment and attention as any large multi-national project, as all project merit full attention to the finest details. Roger currently serves on a volunteer basis as President Emeritus for the Malaysia Canada Business Council, having previously served as President in the promotion of business development between Canada and Malaysia for over 18 years. He received the Canadian Governor General’s Award for this commitment back in 2011.
