Charity — Home of Peace

Home of Peace is located in Taman Seputeh. It began operations in 1996 and is managed by one permanent staff member, a part-time cook and a full-time volunteer, who both live-in with the children.

Home of Peace shelters 11 girls aged 5 to 18, who have come from squatter villages. They are presently raising funds in order to purchase a permanent residence for the girls. Their objectives are:

• To cater for the needs of abused, neglected and orphaned children
• To assist these children in their studies by providing education in schools or tuition
• To guide the children back to their families where possible, or to arrange for fostering through lawful means.
