Gold award

Mr David Hashim
CEO
VERITAS
Architects Sdn Bhd |
 |
The VERITAS Design Group was founded in 1987 upon the principles of constant
innovation and a commitment to quality. During its early years VERITAS was the
fastest growing design practice in Malaysia, emerging as one of the leading
firms both in terms of size of practice and scale of projects. One of the keys
to its success, has been their efforts to combine great design skills and great
service delivery. Factors such as staying within budget, meeting deadlines and
speed of delivery, ensure that the service given at the company is always
excellent. VERITAS now offers a full range of design services through business
units specializing in architecture, interior design as well as landscape and
planning. It has also set up management and global business units for the
managing and handling of international projects. They have recently designed the
Western Transportation Terminal in Putrajaya and have branched into furniture
design. Today, VERITAS continues to pursue the same dynamic approach to design
practice upon which it was founded and its success can be attributed to the
principals’ involvement at every stage of each project and the dedication of the
VERITAS team.

Managing Director
Tex Cycle Sdn Bhd |
 |
Founded in 1984, Tex Cycle is a company that specializes in recycling and
recovery of scheduled waste. As a professional recycler, the company collects
and treats used materials such as plastic, rags, wipes and gloves and filters.
All of these substances are contaminated with paint, grease, inks, solvents and
other substances used by companies operating in the electrical and electronic
automotive, printing and packaging, pharmaceutical and food industries. Such
wastes are deemed to be hazardous materials and are now highly regulated. The
rules, regulations and methods of disposal are extremely strict and are only
allowed at sites permitted by the Department of Environment. TCSB was awarded a
license to treat materials in Thailand and plans to expand its operations within
the first quarter of 2007. It plans on building and operating a new waste
management plant near Bangkok. Tex Cycle will continue to grow as the ever
increasing hundreds of tons of soiled rags, wiper cloths and gloves etc., are
transported to them for recycling purposes.
